I found on the internet (so you know it must be true) that women spend up to 90 minutes a day in the bathroom just getting ready. That's not to mention the other needed trips with the door closed. So in a lifetime, a woman might spend two years – a man 6 months – in and around this precious little room.
But with tiled floors, ceramic tub, sink and toilet, the bathroom can feel like a cold, uninviting space. One secret is to add a piece of furniture to your bath. Maybe an old armoire made of rich woods with attractive hardware or a small chest in an interesting finish, depending on the space you have. Not only does it bring warmth to the room, but it will give you added storage for towels, lotions and such. I mean, if we're going to spend so much time in the bathroom, why shouldn't it feel good?!
